MAC Eye-Shadow Duo

At the moment this is my absolute favourite makeup product. I bought this eye-shadow duo at Bicester Village in Oxford. I just liked the colours compared to the others that were available and wanted to purchase my first ever MAC eye-shadow. I have to say I am very pleased that I did pick this duo as I didn't realise how much I was actually going to love and use it ! I now understand why everyone says how great MAC eye-shadows really are. You get lovely strong bold colour without all the crumbly lose powder that falls and smudges. And the colours blend so easily with a beautiful professional finish.

So lets start with the gorgeous colour Radial Pink. The Radial Pink is a very light shade of white with a soft pink hint and a beautiful shimmery finish. This is a great colour to run across the eyelids leaving your eyes looking bigger and fresh. I never usually wear pinks for eye-shadows as I feel they can make your eyes look sore and irritated. However this shade is so light and frosty there is no chance of that happening. You really could pair this eye-shadow with any colour you wanted and the quality lets you blend the with such ease.

Next we have Shadowy Lady. This is a MAC classic. Im sure most MAC lovers will have this colour so you will all know how amazing it is. Shadowy Lady is a smokey blackened plum colour. I have noticed in other reviews people have found this shade hard to blend. I honestly haven't had this problem and the shadow has always blended nicely for me giving a gorgeous smokey effect. This colour is great to work into the socket giving a smokey contouring effect. Shadowy Lady has a stunning matte finish so works so well with the shimmery Radial Pink. This is also perfect to run along the lash line using an angled brush for a soft liner look.

I have to admit at the moment I use this everyday! I just love how the colours blend together so well. It does help that I have green eyes so these two colours really help to enhance and bring out the green however I would still recommend this duo for any eye colour. You can play with the intensity of the colours and use the Radial Pink for a softer day time look. Then come night you can add more Shadowy Lady for a sexy smokey look.

Hope you enjoyed this review :D

OOTD Dip Dye Maxi Dress

Forgive me if I have done this wrong but this is my first ever OOTD post and also the first time I have added a full photo of myself in a post. (aaaa scary !!)

So over the weekend I went to a BBQ. I decided to get this lovely dress from Jane Norman.
I first saw the dress in the window display and absolutely fell in love with it. I love all things dip dye at the moment. I was determined to buy this dress but wanted to wait until payday. Luckily for me while I was waiting the dress went on sale ! So instead of paying £40 I got it for half price at £20. (yaaaaay)

The dress does come up quite big and I managed to fit into a size 8. which il be honest has not happened for a long time.

As I am quite small height wise I actually folded the dress up around the waste. I then placed my white belt over the fold so you couldn't see. I got the belt for £9 From Dorothy Perkins .

So this is what the dress looked like on.

I love the way the dress flows and how it floats in the breeze. Pink and Blue colours like this are my absolute favourite so I love how the colours blend together. I also wore white wedged sandals with this dress but you cant see them as I should have rolled the dress up a little more. I found the dress really comfortable throughout the evening. The belt worked a treat and the dress didn't fall down or lower at all through the night.

And here is a close up of my makeup.

Please let me know if you would like a tutorial on the makeup I have on here.

Eylure Eye Lashes !

Now if your anything like me you will not be seen on a night out without a pair of eyelashes on !
I love eyelashes I really feel you can do so much more with your eye makeup with a pair of lashes on.
When I do big dark eyeshadows and liners I feel my natural lashes seem to disappear and blend away so by adding a pair of lashes to the makeup, it makes your lashes stand out and also compliments your makeup. They are also great to glam up natural makeup for the extra oomph when you want to really stand out.

Applying lashes is very very tricky so I will soon do a step by step guide on how to apply them !

So here are a few of my absolute Favourite lashes from the Eylure Brand

083
I love these lashes they are quite minimal and great for applying lots of volume to the lashes without looking too much. They add a subtle volume and still look very natural. These are great to enhance your day make up or can be teamed with glamorous makeup to complete the perfect look for a special occasion.
They are a cute short length compared to some but really do add a lot of volume.
I really feel these lashes compliment any look and I make sure I stock up on these!

These lashes I like to wear for nights out. They have a lovely flare as they start small and get longer as the lash goes along. This is great for a vintage 1940's glamour look. They add great volume even though the start of the lashes are shorter. The lashes are not to long either that they still look flattering and enhance every eye shape. So keep these for the very special occasions for that extra special look !

This style has got to be my favorite for a night out. They are full of volume and length so give the extra oomph to complete your look. I think these are more evening lashes and could look a little too much with day wear. They have a lovely curve throughout the lash which is such a great lash shape that will enhance any eye shape nicely. These lashes teamed with a bold liner and smokey eye look amazing ! I would definitely purchase these if you want your eyes to stand out.

Each pack of lashes comes with Adhesive Glue for easy application and range from £5 to £6
You can purchase any of these lashes on www.eylure.co.uk/
If you want to look for any of the lashes in this post just type the lash number into the search box on the Eylure website.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

I am in love with lush products and always ask for the lush gift sets for birthdays and Christmas. In a recent gift box that a friend got me for my birthday was the lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub. The Lip scrubs are available in 3 different flavors Bubblegum, Popcorn and Mint Julips. Personally my favorite is the Bubblegum flavour. With each pot you get 25g of product. This may seem a small amount but they usually last up to a good 3 months ! I also think the price is quite reasonable at £5.25 but i didn't pay for mine individually as i received it in the gift box.

The Lip Scrubs are made from castor sugar (great for exfoliating and adds the nice taste) and jojoba oil (very moisterising)  with a little added flavoring to make them taste amazing. To apply the scrub apply a small amount to your finger. Don't use to much at a time as you don't want to over exfoliate the lips. In gentle circular motions rub your lips with the scrub. Keep going until you feel your lips are smooth and dry skin free. Now for the best part ! You can either wipe away the excess scrub left over or simply lick it away. I prefer the second option and to lick the remainder of the scrub as it is so yummy !

If you have a sweet tooth and like the taste of candy floss then the Bubblegum flavour is definitely the one for you. I also prefer the colour of this scrub as from my blog you can probably guess i love anything pink.
If you are a lush fan then you will most likely have used or seen the Snow Fairy product which only comes out at Christmas, Well the lip scrub smells exactly the same as that ! If your not sure what product Snow Fairy is the lip scrub smells deliciously sweet and a lot like candy floss and tastes exactly the same !

To buy this product you can visit your nearest lush store or click the link and visit Lush and order online.

Have you used any of the lip scrubs ? What flavour is your favourite ?

Topshop Lipstick & Lip-gloss

For the review on the Eye Shadow Trio please click the link - Topshop Eye shadow Trio

As i was looking through the makeup section in Topshop The Glaze lip-glosses and lipsticks stood out to me. I have been looking for a bright pink lipstick for a while as i am starting to run out of the one i currently wear. So i needed wanted to get the lipstick but the lip-gloss just appeared in my hand when i got to the tills to pay !

I decided to buy the lip-gloss in a shade called Bubblegum. I love all things bubblegum so i'm guessing this was just another sign that I should purchase the lip-gloss and I am so pleased that I did. The colour is a lovely subtle pink. I was a little worried the lip-gloss would be a little bland but it definitely has a lovely colour to it. The gloss is very shimmery as it has little flecks of glitter inside the gloss which makes it even more pretty and girly.

The product itself also stays on very well and is long lasting. I have been wearing it all day and have only had to top it up once.
The lip gloss is £7 which i feel is quite reasonable as it is such a lovely gloss.

Now on to the lipstick! I absolutely love this shade. Although it is very bright so maybe it's not to everyone's liking. The shade I decided to get is called Bombshell. If your anything like me when you buy a lipstick you cant wait to get home to try it on. As soon as i left the shop I put the lipstick on and I can happily say it lasted me for the rest of the shopping trip! (around 3 hours also had a drink and it didn't budge) The lipstick is a little patchy when  first applied but i found as i put more on and rubbed my lips together it soon smoothed out. This may also be because I need to wear it in a bit yet. The lipstick is a little expensive at £9 but i think the price is justified with how long lasting it is as you wont have to keep reapplying. The lipstick does have a slight shine to it as you can see in the picture but overall is more matte than shiny.

I applied the lip-gloss on top of the lipstick. This adds another great look! The lip-gloss tones the lipstick down giving it a more subtle look and a lovely deep pink shimmery effect. I would recommend buying a lip-gloss and a lipstick as you can have 3 great shades and also adds to the lasting power.

You can purchase both products at Topshop.

Have you tried any of the Topshop Lip-glosses or lipsticks ? I would love to hear your opinion
