MUA LUXE Velvet Lip Laquer - Criminal

As soon as I heard MUA were bringing out a Luxe range I knew I wanted to try it out.
I love lip lacquer's that give the appearance of lipsticks and this couldn't be more perfect for that.
I feel lip lacquer's can sometimes be easier to apply than lipsticks.
Knowing this was MUA Luxe range I was expecting the lip lacquer to be quite pricey but was pleasantly surprised to find out they only cost £3 !!!

If your looking for a lip product that is completely matte this has definitely got that quality. The texture of the product is very thick so you only need to apply one coat at a time. However to get the perfect long lasting finish you must not press your lips together until the lip lacquer is 100% dry. When you are sure the lip lacquer has dried it should not budge. You should be able to rub your finger across your lips and have no residue on your hands whatsoever.  This is great for night out as you wont have to re apply every 5 mins (As long as you drink from a straw)

The sophisticated designer packaging makes the lip lacquer look very expensive. Its very classy with the black lid gold writing and matte finish to the tube. Its a good size and as you only need to apply a little amount. I can see this lasting me for months. The Lacquer has a tight screw lid with a wand applicator so no worries of any leaking which is always a bonus.

You can see from the photo above how thick the Lacquer comes out when applying.  When you first apply the lacquer has a liquid glossy texture. Remember to keep your lips separated and within a minute your lips should be completely dry and matte.

The Shade I chose is - Criminal. Its a beautiful vibrant pink which really stands out. This shade will look amazing teamed with a dark navy dress for a night out. This will also be great for photo-shoots as the colour play of is just so bright and vivid. This most certainly will be making an appearance in my professional kit.

If you would like to purchase a lip lacquer your self and also view the other shades click the link - MUA

Jelly Shoes From New look

Summer is surely on its way and after the little heatwave over the weekend I decided to do some summer shopping. While in New Look I came across these BEAUTIFUL Jelly Shoes.
I love Jelly shoes and always have since I was a little girl. I actually used to wear the clear glittery Jelly's to primary school!
I couldn't believe it last summer when they came back into fashion and was on the hunt to get some asap. The only pair I could find at the time were in office and cost over £25 !
I am so glad Jelly shoes are back again for summer 2014 and even the high street shops are now selling them. This is great news as we can now buy our Jelly Shoes for cheaper prices and collect many many colours Yay!

I love love love pastel colours so have to admit the first thing that caught my eye about these shoes was the colour. I nearly jumped with joy when I realised they were infact Jelly Shoes. At only £14.99 these shoes are saving me £13.00 and I had a size 5 in my hands within seconds.
The quality of the Jelly's are actully very good. As I am used to paying over £25 for a pair I wasn't expecting the quality to be as good. I was very wrong and I can see these lasting me a long time. The heel is a very comfortable height and wont give you achy feet after 10 mins of wearing. They are great for summer activities and you could definitely last the day in them.
The Jelly's are a little stiff to start with so I would advise wearing them around the house to soften them up before you spend the whole day in them. Going back to my childhood I would wear nice frilly socks with my Jelly's. This again is a great way to break them in and is a very cute quirky fashion look which I will definitely be sporting again. New Look actually have some lovely frilly socks in which will go perfect with these, And at only £1.99 that's a great bargain.

Will you be buying any Jelly Shoes for your summer wardrobe?

KIKO Eye Base Primer Review

Everyday beauty companies seem to be bringing out new primers, creams, gels etc. I'm slowly but surely catching up with completing my skin prepping products. As you all know this can become very expensive so here I have found an amazing priced eye primer.
For only £6.90 you can get Kiko's Eye Base Primer. I think this is a great price as some eye primers cost over £20 ! So when I saw this I just had to give it a try.

The primer is a good size at 10ml. You only have to use a very small amount at a time, so I can see this product lasting me a long time.

The design and packaging looks very sleek and professional. With a little nozzle applicator its perfect to get out the exact amount you need.  Also I like that without a wand applicator you don't have to worry as much about spreading and collecting germs. The lid also screws on so do need to worry about the lid falling of in your makeup bag and leaking ! ( Don't you hate it when that happens )

The primer is a mattifying mouse like texture. Its lovely and fluffy and applies perfectly. Its very easy to blend across the eyelid leaving a smooth and concealed finish. As you can see in the image the primer is a nude colour. This creates a lovely nude base on the eye lid removing any redness or imperfections you do not want to see. You could even use this on its own for a lovely natural look. The primer works like magic and adapts to your own skin colour so you don't need to worry if the shade will not suit you.

The primer compliments all eye shadows making them look there best and helps eye shadows to last longer without creasing. As it leaves the eyes so smooth it makes blending eye shadows a dream.
I will definitely be repurchasing this product.

It really is a great quality product for the price and a great alternative to all the expensive eye primers.

Nano-B Toothbrush*

Have you ever wondered or worried about the bacteria that can collect every day on your toothbrush ? If you have or do worry I would definitely recommend the Nano B Tooth Brush Range. Each tooth brush has an advanced anti bacterial technology within each bristle. This means healthier teeth and gums as-well as putting your mind at rest from all the nasty bugs that could be lurking on your toothbrush.

The Nano Toothbrushes bristles are made from Silver, Gold and Charcoal. These are all natural killers of unhealthy human cells. The special bristles have proven to kill up to an amazing 650 types of bacteria and viruses!

I have been using my Nano B Toothbrushes for a couple months now so I can give a fair review. I honestly think they are great. After you have finished brushing your teeth feel smooth, clean and fresh. Its also great to know I wont have nasty unwanted bacteria's lurking on my toothbrush.

There are two types of toothbrushes you can buy.

< The Nano B Silver Toothbrush  for normal healthy teeth.

Both priced at £7.99

The Nano B Charcoal and Gold Toothbrush for Stained and Discolored teeth. >

I have tried out both toothbrushes and personally prefer the Charcoal and Gold Brush. I was worried at first the bristles would be tough and scratchy but this is not the case at all. The bristles are very soft and smooth, and give a professional clean finish.

I also absolutely love the packaging of the tooth brushes. As you can see in the photos above each brush comes with its own case with a screw top. This is great for traveling as the little tubes are made of plastic so will keep each brush clean and protected. I think this is a really clever idea.

The design of the toothbrush it self is sleek and simple. Most tooth brushes can have garish and tacky colours. The Nano B Tooth brushes are very subtle and come in 3 different colours Blue, Pink and clear. The only downfall about the design is the logo on the bottom of the toothbrush starts to rub of after about a month of use. However that is the only fault I can find.

MAC Eye-Shadow Duo

At the moment this is my absolute favourite makeup product. I bought this eye-shadow duo at Bicester Village in Oxford. I just liked the colours compared to the others that were available and wanted to purchase my first ever MAC eye-shadow. I have to say I am very pleased that I did pick this duo as I didn't realise how much I was actually going to love and use it ! I now understand why everyone says how great MAC eye-shadows really are. You get lovely strong bold colour without all the crumbly lose powder that falls and smudges. And the colours blend so easily with a beautiful professional finish.

So lets start with the gorgeous colour Radial Pink. The Radial Pink is a very light shade of white with a soft pink hint and a beautiful shimmery finish. This is a great colour to run across the eyelids leaving your eyes looking bigger and fresh. I never usually wear pinks for eye-shadows as I feel they can make your eyes look sore and irritated. However this shade is so light and frosty there is no chance of that happening. You really could pair this eye-shadow with any colour you wanted and the quality lets you blend the with such ease.

Next we have Shadowy Lady. This is a MAC classic. Im sure most MAC lovers will have this colour so you will all know how amazing it is. Shadowy Lady is a smokey blackened plum colour. I have noticed in other reviews people have found this shade hard to blend. I honestly haven't had this problem and the shadow has always blended nicely for me giving a gorgeous smokey effect. This colour is great to work into the socket giving a smokey contouring effect. Shadowy Lady has a stunning matte finish so works so well with the shimmery Radial Pink. This is also perfect to run along the lash line using an angled brush for a soft liner look.

I have to admit at the moment I use this everyday! I just love how the colours blend together so well. It does help that I have green eyes so these two colours really help to enhance and bring out the green however I would still recommend this duo for any eye colour. You can play with the intensity of the colours and use the Radial Pink for a softer day time look. Then come night you can add more Shadowy Lady for a sexy smokey look.

Hope you enjoyed this review :D
Whats your favourtie MAC duo ?

Eylure Natural Eye & Lash Kit

So I recently come across the Eylure Eye & Lash Kit. It took me about 3 seconds to decide I was going to buy this gorgeous kit. I really do love Eylure lashes so was very excited as soon as I saw the Kit. Whenever I go to a special occasion or clubbing with friends I feel naked without false lashes. Eylure is the first lash brand I reach for when it comes to lashes for personal use as well as for my shoots and makeup work.

So here is what you get inside the Kit.

First things first the eye shadow. As you can see in the photo above you get a lovely tutorial which shows how to apply all the products. Of course the eye shadow comes first. Its very helpful that each shadow has a name as well as the order number imprinted with in the shadow

As you can see the eye shadows are 3 lovely natural shades which are really going to enhance the eye.

1. Almond - This shade is a beautiful natural beige colour with a beautiful shimmery tone.

2. Nutmeg - A slightly darker beige with a matte finish.

3. Mocha - A gorgeous dark brown shade which will really enhance the sockets.

Just like the box says these 3 shades really are lovely and natural. They are perfect for enhancing the eyes and will look great on any eye shape or colour.

Next we have an Eylure Black Liquid Liner. The eyeliner applicator is a brush. The applicator is very easy to use and the actual brush is not too long so you can get a nice precise application.

If you feel the brush applicator is to long and you cant get the hang of it, just trim down the brushes for a more precise application.

The actual liner itself seems a great quality and applies very well. I hate the liquid liners that seem to remove themselves when you apply more. The liner also lasts well until you fully remove it. The liner removes really easy and doesn't leave any dark stains or tints that some liners can do.

I personally haven't used this mascara yet as I don't tend to use mascara when wearing lashes. I always apply mascara and lashes with my clients but personally I don't.

My lashes seem to soak up mascaras to much and make the false and real lashes look very un-even. I understand that no false lashes look natural but I do try and make my real and false lashes blend together as much as I can.

I do sometimes apply mascara to the lashes after the false lashes have been placed but mainly when I go to clubs. I only apply a very small amount and while the mascara is still wet I lightly press mine and the false lashes together.

I haven't got round to using this mascara yet so I cant review it on its quality, but it does look great.

So saving the best until last we have the Eye Lashes !!!
As this is the natural set in this Kit you get the amazing 080 Lashes.
These lashes give a lovely soft natural fluffy look and really enhance the eye. The lining of the lash is almost invisible when applied so perfect for small soft eyeliner application.
So if you are looking for a great sexy full lash look but still want a  natural enhancing finish then these are the lashes for you.

You can buy these Kits online at Eylure the sets cost £19.50
There are 4 different sets to collect and I love them all !
I hope to get the other sets eventually and I will review them all too.

Have you tried any of the sets ?

Revlon Black Cherry (Mac Dark Side Dupe)

Recently I have decided to become a little more adventurous with some of my makeup choices. For years I have stuck to different shades of pink as I know with a simple pink lipstick you just cant go wrong.

I started noticing a few people were starting to wear dark burgundy shades of lipsticks. I then noticed this colour was starting to get more and more popular and being used in magazines and requested to me for photoshoots. So it only took me a matter of days to do a little research and get my hands on some.

Revlon Black Cherry has to be my absolute favorite shade at the moment. If your anything like me and love a great bargain then this is the perfect winter shade for you.

The most used burgundy lipstick around at the moment is MAC Dark Side which i'm sure everyone knows about. I personally don't like to pay over £10 for a lipstick so wanted a cheaper alternative and the Revlon Black Cherry is almost Identical! The only difference I would say is the Revlon Lipstick maybe half a shade more berry like rather than browny. I'm Sure you could apply a lipstick to each lip and no one would notice the difference.   Also an added bonus with the Revlon Lipstick not only is it cheaper but you also get more product !

The photos I have took makes the lipstick look a little Gothic and scary ! When applied the shade of the lipstick has a lovely purpley red tone to it. It couldn't be a more perfect winter shade. The warm tone looks gorgeous teamed with burgundy and black clothes and accessories. This lipstick is also the perfect shade for Red Heads. I always wear this shade with my dip dyed red hair extensions.

The Photo below I have took with the flash on my camera. As you can see in the photo this shows the colour of the lipstick a little more. You can see the berry burgundy shade a lot better. When applied the lipstick still doesnt come out as dark as the photo below. The lipstick itself has a much more feminine purpley pinky reddish tone. I personally like to apply the lipstick in one application and using my finger smudge the lipstick in. This gives a very soft ombre lip effect. For a darker and more even application I would apply 2 coats.

The Photo Below is from a recent shoot. I used the Revlon Black Cherry and it honestly looked great. The model loved the shade so much herself she has also now bought it for personal use ! I couldn't recommend this shade more. You can wear it lightly and feminine for a gorgeous day look or apply theavy for a fierce unique party look.

You can buy this lipstick at Boots for just £7.49 !
I know I keep saying this but this really is the perfect shade for the winter season.
If you want to stand out at the Christmas party's this year then what are you waiting for !

Have you fallen in love with some dark winter shades?
Thanks so much for reading !
